The majority of 343 Industries’ attention is currently concentrated on Halo Infinite, which is set to receive a substantial update with the release of Season 2: Lone Wolves in the coming months. However, despite the fact that 343 Industries announced last year that it would be discontinuing the seasonal post-launch model for Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to devote its resources to the aforementioned Infinite, it appears that the studio isn’t finished with adding to the compilation.
In a recent post on Halo Waypoint, the developer revealed a significant new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which includes a number of notable new features. Flood Firefight will be included in Halo 3: ODST, as previously teased. It will also include a number of upgrades, such as new Flood enemy types and the ability for Flood to operate vehicles, as well as changes to the game’s interface and quality of life.
Meanwhile, cross-platform campaign co-op for Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODTS campaigns are now playable across PC and Xbox consoles, and 343 Industries has included campaign customization for Halo 4, which will have an impact on weapon skins in a manner similar to that of Combat Evolved and Halo 3.
