There have been rumors circulating that the video game Red Dead Online may be downloaded from the PlayStation Store for free.
According to our investigation into a large number of comments posted on Twitter and Reddit, we found that many customers of the PlayStation Store have been successful in obtaining a free copy of Red Dead Online. Some of them have uploaded photographs of the transaction, which demonstrate the benefit of downloading the game without having to spend any money for it.
The term “demo” appears next to the name of the game in the screenshots that users who were successful in downloading the game have released, but users have stated that they have successfully downloaded the full version of the game despite the presence of the phrase.

As of the time that this article is being written, we do not know whether this was the result of a bug in the PlayStation Store or whether Rockstar is planning to release a trial version of the game Time Trial that will enable users to try the game for a period of time. If the latter is the case, we will update this article once we have more information.
It is important to note that the game Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be offered as a free download as part of the new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium bundle that will be released the following month.
