The new horror game The Quarry, developed by Supermassive Games and having reached the gold development stage on April 29th, will be released in around two weeks. Even though it will begin with a single-player campaign, couch co-op, and a Movie Mode, internet multiplayer won’t be accessible at launch. Will Byles, the director of the game, just sent out a tweet announcing a delay to the online play.
It will now be available as a standalone update on July 8th, as previously planned. The goal was to provide players with “the finest possible experience,” hence this action was taken. In the meanwhile, couch co-op Mode will accommodate up to eight people, each of which will control a separate character and make decisions that will determine the course of their story (and that of others).
The Quarry is a video game that is scheduled to be released on June 10 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. The plot centers around a group of adolescent camp counselors who are celebrating the end of the summer session. The joy, however, is short-lived as they soon discover that the natives are eager to kill them for their blood (and something else more dangerous).
