The seventh season of SnowRunner has now officially begun. The new season, which has been given the name Compete & Conquer, is playable by owners of a Year 2 Pass. It adds a new area to the game, a summer terrain for players to explore, as well as two new vehicles to choose from.
The new area, which goes by the name Burning Mill, Tennessee, is located on a map that is four kilometers squared and includes a sizable river, a settlement made of tents, and the sky filled with hot-air balloons. Along with the new racing difficulties, the map also includes a setting that is suitable for rallying on off-road terrain and a dirt circuit.
The Gor BY-4 is an extremely lightweight scout car, and the Sprinter 43-19 is a Dakar-style truck. Both of these vehicles were introduced in Season 7. Each vehicle comes with a unique skin that has a racing vibe to it.
In conjunction with the release of Season 7, the Nintendo Switch iteration of SnowRunner will also enable cross-play. Players on the Switch version of SnowRunner can now participate in multiplayer modes alongside those on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox.
SnowRunner received updates for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the same time that Season 7 was made available to the public. SnowRunner may now be played on current-generation consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with resolutions of up to 4K at a frame rate of up to 60 frames per second thanks to recent modifications. On PS4 and Xbox One, any and all current owners of the game are eligible to receive the upgrade at no additional cost on their respective consoles.
