The free-to-play battle royale game Super Bomberman R Online, which was developed by Konami, will no longer be available after December 1st and will end service. As of 1 AM UTC today, customers are no longer able to make purchases of Bomber Coins or Premium Packs. It is important to use up any unused Coins before the service is terminated.
Super Bomberman R Online will be available for Google Stadia in September 2020, and then it will be released on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in May 2021. It will include support for up to 64 players. In addition to the typical Bomberman action, players had the opportunity to earn power-ups such as punching gloves and the original Louies. There is also the option to play in the Classic mode, which may accommodate up to sixteen people. Additionally, one could gain additional head accessories, skins for your bombs, and clothes for their avatar as they played.
There was no specific explanation provided for why the service was terminated. The production firm stated that “different factors” were the reason for the cancellation, but they also disclosed that the series “is moving forward with new ideas.” Stay tuned for further information regarding these in the coming months, as Konami plans to make these announcements very shortly.
