It’s possible that Tunic won’t be one of the most popular new video games to come out in 2022, but those who have tried it will gladly attest that it’s definitely in the running for one of the top spots. This excellent isometric action-adventure title was developed by independent developer Andrew Shouldice and published by Finji. It was released for PC and Xbox earlier this year, and it was immediately met with widespread praise for its charming world and visuals, excellent level design, and its unique take on the traditional formula that was inspired by Zelda.
The game will soon be accessible to a significantly larger number of gamers. During the most recent presentation of State of Play, it was revealed that Tunic will be available on the PS5 and PS4 in the latter part of this year, namely in September. Have a look at the trailer for the unveiling down below. Although there is still no official comment on the subject, we can only hope that this indicates that a Nintendo Switch version of the game won’t be too much further in the coming.
Our evaluation of Tunic resulted in a score of eight out of ten, and we stated in that review that the game “executes the themes of classic action-adventure games with such assurance that it’s practically impossible not to enjoy it.”
On September 27, Tunic will be available for download on PS5 as well as PS4. At this time, it is available for purchase for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, in addition to being accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
