Crash Bandicoot’s revival over the past few years has been extremely exciting for a large number of fans, but despite this, it will soon have been two years since the series’ most recent major entry, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Despite this, a large number of fans have been ecstatic about the return of Crash Bandicoot over the past few years. However, it looks that the next game in the series might not be too far off in the future, and while it might not be exactly what you’d be anticipating, we might not have to wait too long for it.
During a recent episode of the Windows Central podcast, journalist Jez Corden casually stated that the developer of the aforementioned Crash 4, Toys for Bob, is working on a new installment for another game in the Crash series. However, and this is where things get interesting, it appears to be a multiplayer game; more specifically, it appears to be a four-player brawler.
This isn’t precisely the first time we’ve heard about a project like this, as rumors of a four-player Crash Bandicoot brawler, purportedly dubbed Wumpa League, have been swirling about for some time now. However, this is the first time we’ve heard specific details about the game. According to Corden, it is possible that it may be disclosed very soon, so it would be interesting to watch whether any of the numerous events that are scheduled to take place in the next couple of weeks also bring a new Crash revelation.
In the event that this does occur, it will at least be comforting to know that Toys for Bob’s responsibilities do not consist solely of providing support for Call of Duty.
