The most recent update for the second season of Chernobylite has been released. The devs have claimed that this update, which has been given the name Red Trees, will be the largest content dump that Chernobylite has seen up to this point. The upgrade now has its very own promotional video. Have a look at it down below.
A new virtual reality (VR) set has been added to Igor’s base in Chernobylite as part of the Red Trees update. Players are able to compete in a game within a game thanks to the virtual reality set. Igor will have the opportunity to travel through a fractal environment inside the virtual reality set, complete with adversaries, weapons, and talents that are generated at random.
The new game mode functions very similarly to a roguelite mode in Chernobylite. If the player dies while playing the new game mode, they are transported back to the main game’s environment, but they maintain all of the experience points they acquired while playing the VR set. The stronger connections with the characters that are forged in the VR set carry over into the primary narrative of Chernobylite.
In addition to the new VR set, Chernobylite will also be receiving six more story missions. On PC, you can purchase the Red Trees Pack for a price of $3.99.
