Skull and Bones was stranded in a state of limbo for a number of years, and it appeared that the troublesome and constantly postponed video game would be mired in the abyss of game production for an indefinite amount of time. However, recent months have seen some meaningful work for it, and it appears that definitive details on when the game will launch will be forthcoming in the very near future. And it would appear that the release is coming up quite quickly.
Twitter feed @ALumia Italia, which routinely watches the Xbox Store’s backend and updates made to it, recently saw listings going online for Skull and Bones. These listings also included specifics about the game’s pre-order bonuses and were found via tracking the Xbox Store’s backend and updates. Soon after that, a user made the assertion that, in accordance with the backend listings, the launch date of the game is going to be November 8. This assertion was soon confirmed by a notable insider named Tom Henderson.
Recent rumors have it that Ubisoft will make another announcement on Skull & Bones in the month of July, so this most certainly fits in with that. It is expected that this release date will also be confirmed there, and newly revealed information like the lack of player-versus-player combat and the restricted amount of land-based action may also receive some clarification at that time.
Ubisoft said earlier this year that the game will be released before the beginning of the company’s next fiscal year, which would be April 1, 2023.
In the past few weeks, Skull & Bones has been given classification ratings in the countries of Brazil, South Korea, and North America. These ratings indicate that the game will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia.
Skull & Bones announcement is imminent. Xbox Store listings are ready, some examples:
1) SKULL AND BONES™ PRE-ORDER BONUS
2) Bloody Bones’ Legacy Mission
3) The Ashen Corsair Mission
4) Smuggler Pass Token
5) Digital Soundtrack and Artbook
6) Premium Bonus Pack
