Sometimes massively multiplayer online role-playing games develop to vast sizes, and many years after their debut, they can be highly unwelcoming to new players who wish to enter their magical world. A similar issue is present in Final Fantasy XIV as well.
There is a tiny issue for you to deal with if, for example, you have never played Final Fantasy 14 before but would really like to play Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker since you were motivated to do so by the game’s outstanding ratings. Because before you can move on to the next chapter in Square Enix’s story, you have to put in a couple of hundred hours playing through all of the prior expansions.
The Japanese are well aware of their weakness, and it is for this reason that they have prepared a series of as many as seven video lessons in which they show us how to begin our adventure in the world of Final Fantasy XIV. These materials have been created in a really unique and slightly comic manner, making them easy to absorb and providing you with a wider perspective of what to anticipate from Square Enix.
The series’ second and third videos go over how to access class quests, keep track of goals, use FATEs, manage your inventory, gain the greatest gear possible, and prepare for party combat.
This series isn’t for you if you are an expert on everything Final Fantasy XIV, but it’s a good tutorial for anyone who might be interested. There are presently seven films available, the fourth and fifth of which cover joining a Grand Company, establishing groups in the Duty Finder, completing your first dungeon, collecting loot, fighting bosses in a trial, earning horses, and finally, yeah, the free trial.
If you do need some assistance getting started, the new series might be the thing that persuades you to sign up for that sometimes discussed, occasionally mocked, but the generous free trial of Final Fantasy XIV.
