An unexpected piece of news was recently shared by Slightly Mad Studios. Because their licenses are about to run out, Project CARS and Project CARS 2 will shortly be removed from digital sales. However, you still have a few more weeks to purchase the races before they are taken offline.
Slightly Mad Studios was purchased by Codemasters, who subsequently acquired Electronic Arts; nevertheless, the newly formed publisher does not appear to have any plans to invest any money in the earlier games developed by the British studio. As a direct consequence of this, we will soon no longer be able to purchase both of the games in the Project CARS series.
The sale of Project CARS 2 will continue through September 21, while sales of the original Project CARS will continue until October 3. The issue has been confirmed by the developers to be related to expired automobile and route licenses.
The games will still be able to be played in their entirety, and Slightly Mad Studios has stated that they have no plans to shut down the servers; however, we simply won’t be able to access the digital versions of both races.

It is important to keep in mind that Slightly Mad Studios wants to develop the series, and the developers are expected to work on Project CARS 4 for a number of years. Project CARS 3 is scheduled to be released in the year 2020, and at least for the time being, the production is secure. The name of the game was disclosed in the year 2020.
