We cannot rely on CD Projekt RED showcasing their upcoming and anticipated works at Gamescom. Although the company’s officials will be in Cologne, the studio does not plan to screen any of its films there.
Several anticipated productions are being worked on by CD Projekt studios. The Molasses Flood is creating a new position in the Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher universe, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a next-gen version built by the in-house CDP studio, and Night City is getting a story expansion. Work has also started on the new The Witcher. We cannot, however, rely on the writers of Geralt of Rivia to introduce additional products.
Even while visitors can speak with studio officials at the event, Radek Grabowski, Global PR Director for CD PROJEKT RED, announced that the company won’t be revealing any news at Gamescom this year:
“I’m happy to be attending this year’s Gamescom, which will soon begin. There’s a chance we’ll run into you if you’re in Koelnmesse because more CDPR members will be attending. We wish the other studios the best of luck with their exhibitions this time because we are not traveling to Cologne to display the game.
This year’s gamescom starts soon and I’m happy to go there. More CDPR folks are coming too, so if you happen to be at Koelnmesse there’s a chance we see each other. This time around we’re not coming to Cologne to show a game – we wish other studios all the best in their showings.

It would appear that we are going to have to wait for the pleasure, but CD Projekt RED has promised that more information about the first feature expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will be provided in 2022, and even the mentioned Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is being prepared for PS5 and XSX | S, is going to be released into the market at some point. Therefore, encouraging news from the studio should be coming in the following weeks.
