Do any of us still play as much as we did when we were kids? I have a feeling the answer is no. Or at the very least, not in such a carefree manner, where you spend entire days watching your favorite shows and don’t have to worry about anything that’s going on in the world around us. The only choice available is to boldly work in the sector, despite the fact that it must be made clear that it does not appear that way the majority of the time – that only accounts for a small percentage. And I’m willing to bet that every single person has fantasized about being there.
An excellent illustration of this would be Phil Spencer, a person who most likely does not require an introduction. One of the most famous personalities in the gaming industry, the president of the Xbox is also someone who is quite savvy when it comes to dealing with the media. Recently, he participated in a very intriguing interview with Bloomberg, during which he disclosed the number of hours per week that he devotes to his most important passion, which is playing video games:
Because I go to bed so early, by the time it’s 10 p.m., I’m already asleep. It’s probably around 15 hours a week that I play.
It is only reasonable to presume that we are discussing video gaming purely for amusement purposes; but, I have no doubt that even over the course of his workday, he is required to spend sometime playing video games on his computer or console. Nevertheless, 15 hours is still a really significant achievement, especially taking into consideration the fact that the person undoubtedly has a lot on his mind… Please let me know how things are doing with you—do you play as much as Phil Spencer does himself, or do you play less?
