Techland boasts once more of extremely high game sales. And it’s hardly surprising, given that Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s results are unusually strong.
Already, the fact that the newest Techland release was one of the top 10 Steam bestsellers of 2022 indicated how much interest it received. Pawe Marchewka, the company’s CEO, said today that 30 million copies of the Dying Light series games had already been sold globally.
This impressive outcome was made possible, in part, by the series’ debut episode, which has already sold more than 20 million copies globally. It appears that roughly 10 million additional copies of Dying Light 2 Stay Human were added to this total. Techland stated that the new game sold roughly 5 million copies in one month after its debut.
As part of the presentation of the results, Techland disclosed that it is developing an open-world game with fantastical settings based on a new IP. This was covered in a May 2022 article.
“The Dying Light franchise has sold 30 million copies, which is proof of the enormous faith and dedication of our player base. There is no greater incentive for those who provide entertainment. It serves as motivation for the entire Techland team as they continue to promote Dying Light and work diligently on the creation of our newest IP, an open-world fantasy game “explained Techland CEO Pawe Marchewka.
This can only imply positive things for brand devotees. At every stage, Techland underlines how heavily involved it is in the creation of the Dying Light series. Support for the new version of the brand will last for many years. According to Oleg Klapovskiy, president of Techland’s publishing division, the Polish company also wants to move Dying Light “to other media and entertainment domains” and away from the gaming industry.
Adrian Ciszewski, CCO of Techland, remarked, “We are not resting on our laurels and will continue to support the game by introducing new content and features over the following years.”
Oleg Klapovskiy from Techland stated, “We have ambitious goals to not only develop and generate new material for the game, but we also aim to reach other media and entertainment fields.
When compared to Elden Ring and Counter-Strike GO, Dying Light 2 has one of the greatest revenue totals on Steam in 2022.
