The Last of Us Part I for PC has just received an official release date postponement from Naughty Dog. To finally refine the game and provide a compelling narrative to more players, the devs will require a few weeks.
The Last of Us Part I’s leaks were confirmed by Sony last year, and a few months later the game launched on PlayStation 5. Naughty Dog announced the game’s availability on PC right away.
According to the previously disclosed information, The Last of Us Part I was planned to be released to more players on March 3. However, the creators have just postponed the release, and the narrative will now begin on March 28. You can adjust the game with the extra time.
Let’s get right to the point: The Last of Us Part I for PC will now be published on March 28th, as opposed to the March 3rd release date that was originally announced. We have been extremely overwhelmed by the amount of love and support for The Last of Us over the past few weeks. We are astounded every day to hear how much you adore the HBO adaptation, see your gorgeous photographs from Photo Mode, and understand how the universe and characters we built nearly ten years ago continue to connect with fans both old and new. We are aware that many of you have been playing The Last of Us Part I on the PlayStation 5 and that many of you are excited to play the game for the first time when it launches on PC.
We want to ensure that The Last of Us Part I’s PC release is in the greatest possible condition because of this. Us will use these extra few weeks to make sure that both you and we are satisfied with this version of The Last of Us. We hope you’ll continue to look forward to The Last of Us Part I’s March 28 release on PC because we’re incredibly happy to introduce Joel and Ellie’s iconic story of survival to new and returning players.
Although this change of plans is not significant, it should be noted that the game will launch after Resident Evil 4 Remake (24.03) and more than a month after Returnal (15.02). The choice made by Naughty Dog is undoubtedly bad news for Sony, as the company will be airing the last episode of “The Last of Us” on March 12 and some fans may want to purchase the PC version; however, in this case, those who are interested can only purchase the PlayStation 5 edition.
The Last of Us Part I will be the first game in the series to be released on PC, but we can anticipate that Factions and The Last of Us Part II will follow in the future.
