Dedicated Destiny 2 fans have been waiting months for a new chapter in the game’s history, but it appears like Bungie has let them down. On Valve’s platform, Destiny 2: Fall of Light is now getting some very unfavorable reviews.
Destiny 2: Fall of Light is the first game already launched in the Bungie family since Sony acquired the company last year. The growth, however, fell short of the players’ expectations, therefore the corporation is unable to declare a major success.
On Steam, comments about Destiny 2: Fall of Light are “largely unfavorable,” with only 29% of players currently giving the expansion a favorable review. For neither developers who produce subpar stuff.
The community is unanimous in saying that Destiny 2: Fall of Light is a colossal letdown and that it is by far the poorest addition to Bungie’s creation. Fans complain that the tale is considerably poorer than the previous expansion, but those who are interested cannot anticipate any particular difficulties. The primary boss also gathers unfavorable feedback from the public, who had hoped for a more compelling confrontation with an attractive foe.
On Steam you can read, among other things:
“Sincerely, what the heck is this extension?“
Campaign objectives are in no way comparable to WQ. Witch Queen presents more of a challenge than legendary difficulty. The city is barren, lifeless, and strange-looking. There is no logic to the narrative. The main antagonist, Calus, is actually a colossal reskinned gladiator. The historically awkward character is Nimbus (probably created by a 12-15 year old).
The individual in charge of the expansion scenario needs to be fired right away and never be considered for employment on another project like this one. How could you **** up the most eagerly awaited DLC?
The most awful expansion to date (yes, even worse than Beyond Light).
a severe letdown for $50.”
“The best thing is the cutscene that opens the game. Then it gets worse every second. The new characters and the story are boring, the new place is empty, nothing fits together. This is the most expensive #$%#% game I’ve ever bought. And worst of all, where is my puppy? 🙁 “
“My disappointment is immeasurable and my day ruined.“
This is undoubtedly a surprising situation, because so far Bungie has been praised for the development of the add-on. It is certainly noteworthy that these are problems that occur on all platforms, because negative opinions are also starting to appear on Metacritic, where players comment on the release of the game on consoles and PC.
