“Battlefield 2042” is the latest work in one of the most popular FPS series of all time, and its numbers continue to be impressive, but unfortunately, these numbers are not very good numbers. After being defeated by Farming Simulator a few weeks after its release, Battlefield 2042 is now at a new low on Steam. The Christmas holiday has just begun, and gamers are using their well-deserved free time to play their favorite games. Speaking of the Battlefield community, everyone would think that most people will play the latest games, right? Well, this is not the case today, on Christmas Eve, at least not on Steam according to the Steam chart. During peak hours, Battlefield V has thousands of more players than Battlefield 2042.

“Battlefield 2042” today reached a peak of approximately 19,000 concurrent players, while “Battlefield 5” reached approximately 23,000 concurrent players. Although this only lasted a few hours, this is still another sign that the game is struggling after its release. Fans, as well as EA and DICE’s expectations for “Battlefield 2042” are huge, because everyone involved wants it to become a sensational hit game, bringing the “Battlefield” series back to its place-to the highest level.
Unfortunately, this did not happen. Instead, “Battlefield 2042” was plagued by bugs, server issues, problematic design choices, and the omission of many fan favorite features that were considered an integral part of the battlefield experience. Although DICE continues to actively work on fixing the game through patches, many core issues still exist, and the game will need to make huge changes to correct this situation. At present, all eyes are on Season 1 of “Battlefield 2042”, because many people hope that DICE can take an important first step towards repairing the game with Season 1 content.
Although this is definitely not a good-looking appearance for DICE and Battlefield 2042, it should also be pointed out that Battlefield V was also considered a disaster when it was released, but DICE finally managed to fix the game and it is now considered better One of the battlefields of the past ten years. This means that if DICE takes the right actions and brings appropriate changes in time, there is hope for Battlefield 2042.
