The selection of the TOP 10 PS Plus Extra short games is broad. This is a terrific place for fans of both short games and excellent RPGs. Today, we’ll concentrate on the latter category, so here are the ten most compelling projects that can be finished in a few days or less. Here the TOP 10 PS Plus Extra short games :
10. Jett: The Far Shore
The list will be opened by JETT: The Far Shore , which, despite the fact that it does not offer eye-catching visuals, nevertheless provides an engaging story and mechanics enough to make it worth getting interested in this title. We play the role of Mei, who wants to find a new world for herself and her kin – for this purpose she goes to a planet that does not cooperate with her, where she has to collect special items. Collecting them is not the easiest task, and a lot of unusual logical puzzles make Jett: The Far Shore an interesting production.
9. SOMA
SOMA allows us to play the role of Simon Jarret, who against his will is trapped in a huge underwater complex. Without any items, he has to explore the next levels of the facility, and at the same time solve puzzles, collect important information about the world or avoid enemies in various ways. Throughout the expedition, he is additionally assisted by the mysterious Catherine.
8. The Forgotten City
The Forgotten City boasts very unusual and at the same time great gameplay assumptions. We play the role of a character created by us, who goes from modern times to the period of antiquity and has to solve a murder mystery. It’s complicated because every wrong decision made while completing tasks for 22 inhabitants of the city takes us back to the beginning of the novel – we have to break out of the time loop, and with each subsequent attempt we will know how to behave in given situations.
7. Inside
In Inside , we take control of a little boy who begins his story with an unusual chase in the woods by an unknown character. Then we observe the boards showing a dystopian, depressing world and perform further puzzles and riddles that allow us to get to the next arenas. It depends only on our cleverness and commitment whether the main character will reach the end of the novel.
6. Until Dawn
In Until Dawn, we take control of not one, but several heroes who want to celebrate in a mountain shelter separated from the world. During the parties, strange things start to happen, and the heroes also remember the events of the past. The plot here is divided into at least two main threads that complement each other and make the gameplay of Until Dawn scare many a battle-hardened player.
5. Valiant Hearts: The Great War
People looking for an emotional story should be interested in Valiant Hearts: The Great War , which shows the action set in the realities of World War I. We observe the clashes on the front from several perspectives, but the main gameplay assumption is to overcome successive boards filled with various puzzles. Ultimately, the greatest asset of the game is the story, which catches the heart.
4. The Medium
The Medium , like the aforementioned The Forgotten City, offers a breath of fresh air in the genre of adventure games, because it allows you to follow the fun from two perspectives simultaneously shown on the screen. The main character Marianne, who has the ability called the eponymous medium, can jump between two worlds (the real one and the one where ghosts are). This solution makes solving puzzles and getting to know the story more varied.
3. Observer System Redux
In fact, The Medium and Observer: System Redux are the same developers. The latter production was placed higher in the ranking primarily because it offers – in my opinion – a more interesting story and a more immersive world with a heavy atmosphere. We play the role of a Krakow detective – Lazarski – who has to solve the mystery of his tin and the Chiron corporation. The investigation leads him to class C slums, the most dangerous district of that city.
2. The Quarry
The Quarry is very similar to Until Dawn, but due to the fact that it is a newer title, the developers were able to provide better graphics and more interesting mechanics. This time we are also in a shelter cut off from the world. The heroes must work together to unravel the mystery surrounding the employer and nearby residents. The main role here is played by werewolves, which are not always worth killing…
1. Stray
The most relaxing weekend game on this list is unquestionably Stray . In this production, we play the role of a cat who, separated from his group, has to return to the town and additionally “save the world”. The story is full of more or less challenging puzzles, and the graphics and complexity of the levels can make the greatest impression on the recipient, which allows you to explore the locations at your own discretion.
