Lovers of the Castlevania series have reason to celebrate: more fun is on the way. The expectations of the gamers are not lost on Konami, and it would appear that the company has every intention of paying attention to what the players have to say. The words said by Tsutomu Taniguchi are quite articulate.
The year before last, Konami made the exciting announcement that the Silent Hill series would be making a triumphant comeback. Currently, various creations based on this intellectual property are coming to market, including a remake of the Silent Hill 2 game. The Polish Bloober Team is responsible for the development of the game.
It has been said that Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid will both make a comeback in the same fashion, and Tsutomu Taniguchi has commented on the latter intellectual property. The Japanese informed IGN that the firm is aware of the “excitement and enthusiasm of fans online,” and that favorable feedback from players is “very motivating for [Konami].” In other words, the studio is aware that the community wants more games.
“In order to commemorate the long and illustrious history of the Castlevania franchise, not only did we make an effort to re-release the games that fans had played and enjoyed so much in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Castlevania Advance Collection, but we also re-released Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night for fans on PlayStation and mobile platforms and introduced Grimoire of Souls to Apple Arcade. But since we know that our audience constantly wants more—and since we too want more—we could not pass up the chance to collaborate with Dead Cells on this incredible project.”
If the most recent rumors turn out to be true, we should learn more about the upcoming Castlevania within the next few months. Fans have made it very clear that they desire a full-fledged role in the franchise, despite the fact that the firm has recently re-released a number of older titles on the market or given the makers of Dead Cells the chance to use the license.
