Though it wasn’t included in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, the subject of Separate Ways is back, suggesting that Capcom is revising the adventure. The already released base game makes mention of the expansion.
Although the developers did not include the Separate Ways expansion, they did make a direct reference to the story, which can be seen as a typical teaser, as I mentioned in my review of Resident Evil 4 Remake. There have been leaks suggesting that the Japanese are actually working on the story in the interim.
The news was somewhat corroborated by Gosetsu, who while looking through Resident Evil 4 Remake files discovered a reference to “The Another Order” — the name given to the Separate Ways expansion when it first appeared in Japan.
Thanks to Gosetsu from RE Wiki Discord, he was able to examine the Resident Evil 4 Remake data and found evidence that “The Another Order”, otherwise known as “Separate Ways”, exists in the files.
Will we see this announcement in the near future?

As you know, the story didn’t make it to the full version of the game, but it’s worth remembering that Capcom has already announced the expansion of the game – The Mercenaries will be added next month. The returning gameplay variant will be provided as a free add-on.
We’re not sure how Separate Ways will be, as the 3-4 hour story has reportedly been expanded and may be offered as a paid add-on.
