An employee of Konami will face charges for attempted murder. The 41-year-old used a fire extinguisher to assault his former boss. The situation had a second bottom, though, since the team was reportedly struggling.
Information regarding an attempted murder at Konami surfaced on the Japanese website Livedoor. A 41-year-old employee made the decision to pick up a fire extinguisher and attack his former employer with a hefty object. Other studio representatives swiftly intervened to stop the man.
The attacker acknowledged that the attack was an attempted murder when the police got on the scene. The issue was handled by Konami’s HR division, but it must be noted that the defendant had previously been intimidated by his boss.
The suspect was transferred to another crew when the Japanese studio told him it wasn’t mobbing.
Although Konami has not yet commented on the situation, the company will likely have to do so in the future because several media outlets have taken up the story and are interested in learning why the employee chose to attack the former boss.
