Last year, Microsoft launched a months-long project on the new Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One dashboard. Work with the community has identified a number of important details that will be rolled out in the near future. The company has completed testing the “new Xbox Home experience”.
In September, Microsoft invited gamers to check out the new Xbox menu. The corporation still wants to offer one dashboard for both generations of consoles, so the upcoming news will go to many fans of the American company.
Microsoft decided today to end testing the new Xbox Home and thanked the players for their cooperation. Ivy Krislov (Senior Product Lead, Xbox Experiences) confirmed that players can expect “bigger updates” to be released soon.
We want to thank everyone who took part in the months of testing. Today we are pausing testing to prepare for the major updates we will be releasing soon. This means that Xbox Insiders Alpha and Alpha-Skip users who used the Home test version will revert back to the Xbox Home they originally used.
The Microsoft representative mentioned an important detail – Microsoft listened to the opinions regarding the top part of the menu. This is where the community expects more space to enjoy their art, and apparently we can count on the changes that will be made.
The company is working to “balance experience, accessibility, functionality and community needs”, while Microsoft wants to provide a breath of fresh air from using the new Home.
Additional details and updates will be coming soon.
