2K Games has released a new version of New Tales from the Borderlands in which the Denuvo anti-tamper technology has been removed from the game. Because New Tales from the Borderlands was released in October 2022, it took 2K approximately half a year to get rid of it before the game was released.
It is also important to note that in February of 2023, 2K removed the disputed anti-tamper technology that was implemented in The Quarry. To put it another way, 2K emulates both Capcom and Square Enix in their business practices.
On Steam, New Tales from the Borderlands is rated as having Mixed Reviews at the moment, with the majority of its most recent reviews being Negative.
As was previously said, 2K Games is not the only company that has been working to eliminate the use of Denuvo in its products. Both Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and Resident Evil Village have had it deleted in the most recent patch from Capcom. Mortal Kombat 11 by Warner Bros. is another game in which it has been eliminated. And let’s not overlook the fact that Bandai Namco took it out of NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER.
