Even on the previous generation, PlayStation Studios offered players a whole lot of productions focused on strong stories, but now Sony wants to change the face of its teams. Internal corporate formations are developing online games-as-services.
Yesterday, Sony confirmed the acquisition of another studio, but this is not the next team that will offer third-person adventures in new worlds. Firewalk Studios was acquired for a specific purpose – to create an online AAA game.
Sony does not want to focus only on fictional positions, so experienced teams have created new formations or young teams have been taken over to create positions developed for years – analyst Benji-Sales collected information and confirmed six proposals:

As you can see, Sony uses three experienced companies (Naughty Dog, Bungie, PlayStation London Studio) and additionally adds new acquisitions (Firewalk Studios, Deviation Games, Haven Studios) to significantly expand its catalog.
In the coming years, PlayStation will not only be associated with feature titles like Uncharted, God of War, Spider-Man or Ratchet & Clank, and now the Japanese corporation wants to offer players multiplayer games as well.
