Since its premiere, Microsoft has said that Halo Infinite has racked up over 20 million players in both the campaign and multiplayer modes. There was a lot riding on Halo Infinite, but it’s safe to say that it has, for the most part, exceeded expectations in more ways than one. Its single-player narrative and free-to-play multiplayer component have both gotten positive reviews from critics and audiences, with regular events, updates, patches, and other features keeping the latter’s player base active and engaged.
This is mirrored in the game’s commercial performance, which is unsurprising. Since its launch, Microsoft has claimed that Halo Infinite has racked up over 20 million players across both multiplayer and single-player campaigns. Because the game is available on Game Pass and the multiplayer component is free-to-play, it’s difficult to say how much the shooter has sold, but Microsoft has confirmed that it was the biggest Halo launch ever.
Halo fans will be hopeful that the shooter maintains its early momentum as 343 Industries continues to focus on refining the game and adding to it with forthcoming seasons.
Halo Infinite is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
