WB Games made the announcement earlier this year that Mortal Kombat 12 would be released at some point in 2018, and NetherRealm Studios, the game’s developer, has only recently provided a small teaser for the game. And with the upcoming installment in the combat series presumably gearing up for its unveiling, possibly fresh information on certain additions to its roster of characters may potentially have surfaced at this point in time as well.
As is the case with many other well-known brands, Mortal Kombat has a long tradition of including cameo appearances by characters from other intellectual properties (IP), and it seems that the next installment in the series will do the same with a few well-known superheroes. According to indications that were recently revealed on Twitter by writer Jez Corden, both DC’s Peacemaker and The Boys’ Homelander could make appearances in Mortal Kombat 12 as special guests in the game. It is still unknown whether these will be offered as post-launch downloadable content (DLC).
Leaks have suggested that the announcement for Mortal Kombat 12 might take place at some point in the month of May. This would be consistent with the previous speculation. It has also come to our attention that a PlayStation Showcase event will take place later this month, which suggests that further information on the fighter may be forthcoming in the not-too-distant future.
Would be cool if he was playable in an upcoming fighting game.
