Good news if you own the DOOM and DOOM 2 upgraded editions that were released in 2019. Base Ganymede, a free update to the initial game that adds 27 new, skill-level-appropriate levels, is now available. It supports co-op and multiplayer right now across all platforms.
Base Ganymede, created by Adam Woodmansey, has three episodes and was published in 2009. Positive reviews were given to the megawad, and it was even named one of the winners of the 19th Annual Cacowards.
The official additions to the re-releases of DOOM and DOOM 2 include numerous add-ons, Base Ganymede being merely one of them. Others include Sigil (from John Romero, who worked on the original game), Harmony, Anomaly Report, Doom Zero, and many more. Final Doom from id Software was also made freely accessible.
Base Ganymede is a free Add-on for the re-releases of DOOM & DOOM II, featuring 27 levels of new challenges for all skill levels from first-timers to speedrunners. Available now!https://t.co/oMYkfAbiH4 pic.twitter.com/djDepEplLM
