There has been a long wait for a Lords of the Fallen. The original, created by Deck13, was released about ten years ago, and since then, its rumored successor has gone through a number of development reboots and delays. With a complete revamp created by Hexworks, the series is likely to enjoy more time in the spotlight this year, and we may now also be able to predict when it will happen.
Lords of the Fallen will reportedly go on sale for PC and consoles on October 13 this year, according to @ALumia_Italia, a page that monitors the Xbox Store backend and any improvements made to it, on Twitter.
The page doesn’t specify a deadline for when the Souls-like action RPG’s creator Hexworks and publisher CI Games will be prepared to reveal its release date, but if this leak is reliable, one can assume that new information on the game will start coming out at a much more regular and consistent pace in the upcoming weeks and months.
There are clearly plenty of showcases where the game may potentially take the stage, with events like Summer Game Fest, PlayStation Showcase, Xbox Games Showcase, and more scheduled (or at least reportedly scheduled, in PlayStation’s case) for the upcoming month.
For the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Lords of the Fallen is currently under development.
