The summer season of significant gaming events and announcements for this year will begin in a few days with PlayStation Showcase, with the likes of Xbox Games Showcase, Ubisoft Forward, and many more to follow. On June 8, Summer Game Fest will return with a new live performance, and it promises to be a spectacular one.
The whole list of sponsors for this year’s event was unveiled earlier this month, featuring over 40 sponsors, including companies like PlayStation, Xbox, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, CD Projekt RED, and many others. But can we anticipate another headline-grabbing announcement at this year’s event, like we did with The Last of Us Part 1 and Elden Ring the years prior?
Geoff Keighley, the show’s producer and host, speculates that we might see more than one of those. When asked if Summer Game Fest had any comparable announcements planned, Keighley responded that this year’s show was planned to have three or four things that will be “pretty big for this audience.” The interview was recently released on the Epic Games website.
Keighley has also stated that Summer Game Fest 2023 will last approximately two hours, which is about how long the showcase did last year.
