Many years after the announcement and several delays in production, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum hit the market and the game is criticized by almost all journalists. This is one of the worst positions in recent years in terms of ratings.
A few hours ago you could read our review of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum , in which Maciej mentioned the game’s big problems. The journalist informs about, among other things, terrible optimization, major technical problems and boring tasks.
Many editors agree with this opinion, because The Lord of the Rings: Gollum currently has an average rating of 44% (Opencritic) and 39% (Metacritic). According to this second list – the position is literally the worst game of 2023.
Journalists emphasize the enormity of errors, repetitive level construction, terrible graphics, limited gameplay mechanics, control problems, and the gameplay itself simply gets boring too quickly.
It’s hard to say whether the developers can save the position, but the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in such a state is surprising – after all, the adventure has been in development for many years.
