The most recent PlayStation Showcase included a number of brand-new titles from PlayStation teams, but Haven’s debut release has drawn a lot of flak. Fans of the Japanese company are adamant that they do not want Sony teams to take such a stance.
We watched the debut trailer for Fairgame$, the first product from Haven, as a fitting beginning to the fantastic PlayStation presentation. A game-as-a-service that will probably launch on the PS5 and PC is currently being developed. We don’t currently have a lot of information regarding the project, but it’s extremely likely that the creators will let us play it before it debuts.
However, given that just 135,000 players saw the first game footage and that up to 10,000 of them gave the movie the “thumbs down,” one might conclude that Fairgame$ did not elicit the anticipated reactions.
Criticism also appears in the comments, where most players emphasize an important detail – the community supposedly does not want “such games from PlayStation” .
It should definitely be noted that Sony and Haven have not revealed any specifics about Fairgame$ at the moment, but the published trailer suggests that it is a PvP or PvPvE production in which groups of players will be engaged in robberies. The developers will apparently put the teams on one map and the winners will take the treasure.
However, opinions about Fairgame$ are very critical:
When will marketing teams learn that it’s better not to waste development budget on a CGI trailer that doesn’t add anything when you can wait and show us what the game actually looks like.
I didn’t ask PlayStation for this. This looks like an average Ubisoft
this will be another 4 player cooperative looter shooter game with generic character stats.
Looks like it’s going to be one of the most forgotten games ever! Just a complete waste of effort and resources
“Thank you to all our players, but unfortunately we are ending support” 1 year later.
This is exactly the kind of game we DON’T want.
On PlayStation, we’re for single-player narrative games, not the kind of stuff we’ve seen 1,000 times everywhere.
Among the comments there are references to HYENAS, the new Creative Assembly game, because Fairgame$ looks very similar to the position published by Sega.
It looks almost exactly like HYENAS… which is already in alpha.
It’s exactly like this game from Sega that just debuts
