It was confirmed that KO_OP’s Goodbye Volcano High would get a fresh demo after being postponed till August. The developer stated in a news statement that the new demo would be accessible during the Steam Next Fest, which takes place from June 19 to June 26.
Although the demo’s contents haven’t been confirmed, select content producers will get a sneak peek at it, so look for further information in the coming days. Goodbye Volcano High, which debuted recently at the Tribeca Festival and won the Tribeca Games Award, follows Fang as she battles to finish high school in the face of a catastrophic disaster.
In the course of the game, players have the option to perform with the band Worm Drama (via a rhythm mini-game), interact with pals, or simply hang out. There is a branching narrative dependent on your decisions, however it is unclear how this will effect the conclusion.
On August 29th, Goodbye Volcano High will be available on Steam for $29.99 and will be available for PS4, PS5, and PC. In the meantime, stay tuned for additional information.
