The lengthy post-launch support for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is currently in its final phase, with the release of the two final rounds of new material for the Booster Course Pass scheduled for the rest of this year. We were given a launch window for Wave 5 at the most recent Nintendo Direction, along with information on the material it will include.
Similar to the previous waves, Wave 5 will upgrade the kart racer with eight new tracks divided between two cups. One of these eight tracks will be completely original. The game is called Squeaky Clean Sprint, and it takes place on a scaled-down race track in a typical bathroom. The tracks wind around a bathtub filled with water, a toilet, a table fan, and other objects.
Meanwhile, Wave 5 will also include more new characters to the game, as was anticipated in light of prior rumors. Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek will be three of the playable characters who have returned. For a glance at all three as well as the new song, watch the trailer below.
Nintendo Switch is capable of running Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass will debut this summer.
