Unexpectedly, the actor portraying Cal Kestis disclosed that Respawn Entertainment is now working on another project. The upcoming Star Wars Jedi adventure is being developed by developers.
The 2019 release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order proved to be a huge success, and players seem to be enjoying this year’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as well, according to methodically released sales data from different areas. The series’ director, Respawn Entertainment, departed in recent weeks, but the significant interest in the intergalactic realm did not stop changes within the company. The author has stated in earlier interviews that he hopes Cal Kestis’s story will be told as a trilogy.
There are plenty of signs to suggest that the developers’ ambitions were unaffected by the dramatic changes made to the facility. At an Ocala Comic-Con panel, Cameron Monaghan revealed that Star Wars Jedi 3:
We are working on the third [part – note]. ed.] and we are in the process of creating it. It’s a big undertaking and there have been a few conversations so far, but I hope that when everything is finalized, we will be able to create something really cool.
The actor who plays the show’s main character didn’t give any more information, but what he did say suggests that either Respawn Entertainment or Electronic Arts is finishing up a deal to start motion capture sessions soon.
The third Star Wars movie looks like it will happen. As a result of the success of Fallen Order and the positive reviews of Survivor, Respawn Entertainment is excited to start working on the IP again, but with a new director.
We don’t know how long we have to wait for the journey yet, of course. Developers can already use the technology, so we’ll be very interested in any project news. It’s important to remember that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will also be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
