The most recent soccer game from Electronic Arts, EA Sports FC 24, is now available in Early Access. The PC version of the game, which uses the Frostbite Engine, is based on the PS5/Xbox Series X version of the current generation. As a result, we have chosen to test the game at Ultra Settings and Native 8K. Does the NVIDIA RTX 4090 provide 60 frames per second? It is time to learn.

We utilized an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of DDR5 running at 6000MHz, and an NVIDIA RTX 4090 for our EA Sports FC 24 8K benchmarks. Additionally, we were using the GeForce 537.13 driver and Windows 10 64-bit. Moreover, we have turned off our 7950X3D’s second CCD.

There aren’t many visual settings in EA Sports FC 24. The crowd, grass, and graphics quality can all be changed by PC players. Additionally, there are choices for framerate, hair strands, and cut-scenes. And that’s it, to be honest.

Fortunately, EA Sports FC 24 seems to function flawlessly on PC, at least when playing games. Regretfully, when playing this game, MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner were inoperable. This is something else you should consider. Thus, we turned on NVIDIA’s GeForce Performance Statistics in order to gauge performance.

During gaming, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 was able to achieve 60 frames per second at Native 8K/Ultra Settings. But in the more difficult cutscenes, the framerate was falling to 25–30 frames per second. Even so, it’s quite amazing to watch this sports game play in 8K/Ultra at 60 frames per second on a single GPU.

I should mention a few irksome stutters we’ve encountered when transitioning from gameplay to cutscenes before we go. These seemed like shader compilation stutters at first. Fortunately, the game works nicely and doesn’t stutter while being played.

For more GPU benchmarking at lower resolutions, we will be sure to include both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, so stay tuned for our next PC Performance Analysis. Enjoy the next 8K/Ultra, which has the entire Manchester United vs. Liverpool encounter, in the interim.
