Overwatch 2 was revealed to be the first of numerous Blizzard titles that would be making the transition to Steam when it was announced back in July that Blizzard Entertainment’s games would be going to the digital distribution platform. Now, a release date has been set for yet another one of the developer’s major titles that will be available on Valve’s digital marketplace.
Blizzard Entertainment made the announcement that their next action role-playing game would be available on Steam very soon during the most recent Diablo 4 Developer Update webcast. On October 17, which is less than two weeks away, it will go live on the platform. Additionally, a Steam page for the game has been made available to the public.
Blizzard will be holding out hope that Diablo 4 will fare better on Steam than its predecessor did when it comes to customer reaction. Overwatch 2, which had just been released on Steam, was immediately met with an overwhelming majority of negative reviews from users, quickly becoming the video game with the lowest overall rating in Steam’s history.
At this time, Diablo 4 may be played on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and computer (through Battle.net).
