One of the best games of recent years is currently available only in digital distribution, but as recent activities indicate, a lot may change soon. The third full-fledged installment of Baldur’s Gate may end up in boxes and reach players around the world.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has so far debuted on PS5 and PC, but genre enthusiasts cannot enjoy physical releases of the title. However, a lot will change at the end of the year, when the RPG will receive a full Japanese localization, and the PS5 version will be released in boxes in this country. The project is handled by Spike Chunsoft.
Some recipients are considering ordering Baldur’s Gate 3 from Asia, but recent news may suggest that Larian will probably decide to offer physical editions also in the rest of the world. One player asked a simple question (“Would you buy a physical version of Baldur’s Gate 3?”), which was quickly shared by Michael Douse, Larian’s publishing director. A representative of the studio “bumped” the message to check the response among the community.
I raise for [call – at. ed.] interests.

His post received almost 800 comments from recipients who really want to put the physical edition of the game on the shelves. Currently, we cannot count on official announcements, but such mentions never appear without a reason.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on Xbox in the near future , and the developers may develop an expansion pack . Making the appreciated production available through physical distribution could be an opportunity for Larian Studios to gain additional millions of dollars.
