Previous to this, Bloober Team has been promising more material for its most recent Layers of Fear release, and this tease continues with a new live-action video that provides some further insight into what seems to be The Pianist’s youth. You can see the video, which was just recently uploaded to the official PlayStation channel on YouTube and can be found down below in this post.
The live-action short film follows a little girl as she lives a joyful life with her mother in a mansion. Throughout the course of the film, we watch the mother and daughter playing the piano and singing together on several occasions. These joyful recollections suddenly take a sinister turn when night falls, and we observe the same girl scrawling mysterious words with white chalk on the floor of the home where they took place. In the meantime, a mournful rendition of Johnny Cash’s song “You Are My Sunshine” can be heard playing in the background.
It is very conceivable that this video is merely a regular cooperation between Polish artist Natalia Szroeder and Bloober Team to honor the company’s 15-year anniversary. On the other hand, it is also feasible that this may be a wider tease for Layers of Fear DLC or perhaps a new project from the developer.
