Blizzard faces a significant challenge in attracting and keeping players on the servers of the new Diablo version for a long time. However, the producers responsible for the development of the title are optimistic and believe that Season of Blood will offer the best possible experience.
Diablo 4 debuted on the market in early June and since then it has already seen its first season of additional content, which did not necessarily steal the hearts of many IP fans. Developers must act – although even before the premiere we knew about the huge plans for the development of the production, recent weeks have clearly shown that Blizzard needs to have a bit more ideas, because even special events have to cope with
Timothy Ismay, lead producer of Diablo 4, and Antonio Watson, deputy game designer, gave an interview to The Gamer and talked a bit about the upcoming season of the game. In their opinion, Season of Blood will be much more enjoyable and encouraging. After hours of testing and content work, developers believe that the changes and improvements will undoubtedly impact the experience.
There are many things that have been very positively received by fans. In many conversations I’ve had, people are excited about the content of Season 2, but they are also individually very excited about the quality of life changes. “That seems to be enough of a motivator for people to come back and play,” Watson said.
Season of Blood will draw heavily on the theme of vampires – in addition to the power of Vampirism, the community will be able to test their skills against new bosses and monsters, and improvements will also include gaining levels and experience. Timothy Ismay emphasizes that the new content will make Diablo 4 “simply better”:
Honestly, the changes in game quality – we checked them quite extensively internally – [Diablo 4] is much more enjoyable to play. There are some improvements, each of them small, but overall the game is just so much better.
