The developers at The Astronauts have provided a roadmap that outlines the next content that will be added to Witchfire not long after the early access version of the game was made available. The development team adds that significant upgrades including brand new material are scheduled to occur every two months, but they are concerned if they will be able to keep up with the pace.
Irongate Castle, Scarlet Coast, and Witch Mountain are the only three of the game’s planned six unique maps that have been named as of yet by the development team behind Witchfire. The team anticipates that the game will have a total of six unique maps by the time it leaves early access. The game currently includes the first two of them, with the addition of three additional nameless maps and Witch Mountain scheduled for release at some point in the future.
Out of all of these maps, Witch Mountain is the one that has the best chance of being the very first new map introduced to the game. It has been described as a large raid level by the development team, and the area will have its own unique gameplay rule. In addition, the development team intends for the game to have a minimum of six bosses, forty-six different types of enemies, thirty-one weapons, twenty-four magical items, twenty spells, and an undefined amount of additional traps, events, disasters, and non-playable characters.
GGU is the codename for the first significant update for Witchfire, which is scheduled to be released in the second part of November. It is anticipated that it would offer new material in addition to reimaginings of stuff that was already available in the game’s original release. In addition, there are modifications that will be made to the fundamental gameplay of Witchfire. These modifications will include a rebalance of the game’s leveling structure, increased player control over tragedies, and an overall boost to Arcana.
Back in September, the Witchfire game was made available as an early access title that was only available through the Epic Games Store.
