Ubisoft was included by the Competition and Markets Authority in Microsoft’s transaction with Activision Blizzard and the corporation guaranteed its customers the giant’s games. Ubisoft+ users can count on a large supply of productions from the publisher of Call of Duty and Diablo.
The end of Microsoft’s contract with Activision Blizzard resulted in Ubisoft receiving the rights to Activision’s cloud games for the next 15 years. The French corporation was involved in the transaction, which is undoubtedly great news for Ubisoft+ users.
Chris Early, Ubisoft’s vice president for strategic partnerships and business development, confirmed on the Ubisoft website that thanks to the cooperation, the company will be able to add Activision Blizzard games (including productions from the Call of Duty series) to Ubisoft+.
The agreement covers all already released and upcoming Activision Blizzard games – the cooperation will last for the next 15 years:
The deal covers all Activision Blizzard games currently distributed, as well as all games that Activision Blizzard will release over the next 15 years. This includes the Call of Duty brand and much more. Yes, it includes all DLC, including game content and DLC packs, expansions and downloadable add-ons.
Ubisoft has confirmed that, like Microsoft with Xbox Game Pass , it is now working to make Activision Blizzard games available on Ubisoft+ as soon as possible:
We know that players are excited to see more games coming to Ubisoft+, and we will spend as much time as we need to make sure the backend fully supports the experience we expect for players. Now that the transaction has been closed, we can start the operational element.
