A trailer for the first downloadable character pack for Mortal Kombat 1, which will be Omni-Man from Invincible, has been made available by NetherRealm Studios. The Viltrumite, whose voice is provided by J.K. Simmons, is able to display raw, unyielding strength and speed that is superior to that of even the Fire God Liu Kang. Have a look at it down below.
When it comes to combinations, Omni-Man depends on unadulterated brutality rather than flashiness, hitting or hurling his opponent to the left and right as he moves through the sequence. He does have a dodge, after which he teleports behind his opponent and pummels them with incredibly quick attacks. He does this after he has used his dodge. His Fatal Blow should also be well known, as it calls to mind the memorable “Think, Mark, think!” moment from both the comics and the TV.
However, his Fatalities are without a doubt the true shining stars of the show. The first one includes him using the body of an opponent to kill passengers on a train, while the second one shows him using only his bare hands to smash a skull. Both of them make an allusion to the atrocities that Omni-Man committed in Invincible, and in the midst of all the destruction, you can also make out Tremor, the first DLC Kameo Fighter.
Both Omni-Man and Tremor will be available for purchase independently or as part of the Kombat Pack, which can be purchased for $39.99. The Kombat Pack will be added to the roster in November.
