Even though a release window for the Nintendo Switch version of the forthcoming first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City has not been established, the game’s publisher, Nacon, and developer, Teyon, have stated that the console will ultimately get the game at some point in the future. This was stated as recently as early this year. However, despite the fact that the game is now only a few weeks away from being made available on other platforms, Nacon has stated that, contrary to what some may have believed, plans for a Switch version of the title have been scrapped.
A subsequent statement given to Gematsu by the publisher provided confirmation of the same information. According to what the publisher had said, “At this moment we do not have any plans for a Nintendo Switch release.”
Is there anything to be gathered from the fact that Nacon has stated that it does not have plans for a Switch version “at this moment,”, particularly in light of the numerous rumors that a next-generation Nintendo Switch successor is supposedly going to be released within the next year or so? The outcome of this question is still up in the air, but based on what we know right now, users of Switch consoles shouldn’t get their hopes up that the upcoming RoboCop video game will be available for them to play.
On November 2, RoboCop: Rogue City will be available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
