Baldur’s Gate III turned out to be a great production and already at the time of its premiere it offered players not dozens, but even hundreds of hours of great fun. Currently, no one has any doubts that the title is one of the strongest representatives of its genre and will undoubtedly compete for several statuettes in this category. For many people, the biggest drawback of this RPG is the fact that it has already debuted on PC and PlayStation 5, and in the context of Xbox Series X|S you still have to rely on assurances.
And since Larian Studios still hasn’t given us a specific and clear release date, many people are trying to take advantage of this and repeat information that the production will be delayed. After all, the initial assumptions were about the premiere “before the end of 2023”. This causes negative rumors to be repeated on various discussion forums and social media. One of the employees of the Larian Studios publishing department commented on them quite bluntly on Twitter/X :
The plan is that at the end of the year [BG3 will be released on Xbox – note. ed.]. This has been said several times, but guys with 33k Twitter followers keep repeating nonsense for the sake of likes.
Well, there is undoubtedly some truth in this, and creating an artificial sensation does not make any sense , but… Players quickly noticed that, according to the latest information from the studio, the title was supposed to be released in November. Now the date has been slightly moved. And let’s hope this is the last time, because after such a comment it would be stupid if it turns out that the creators will not find the appropriate optimization for XSS and will have to keep trying. In 2024.
Kinda hard to buy BG3 when it's not on Xbox am I right? 😅🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/1HpMYB52Yb
