The ESRB has also given Apex Legends a rating for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Original story follows:
Since Apex Legends was first announced in late 2020, we’ve been waiting for news of native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions, but recent developments suggest we won’t have to wait long.
Apex Legends was just rated for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in both Taiwan and Europe, according to Gematsu on Twitter, which could imply that an official reveal and a quick release are on the way.
Respawn Entertainment announced that news on current-gen versions of the free-to-play battle royale shooter would become “very, very quickly” after a native PS5 version of Apex Legends was discovered in the PSN database not long ago.
Meanwhile, Apex Legends Season 12 has launched, bringing with it a slew of new features, including Mad Maggie, the game’s newest Legend. The game is presently available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, with a mobile version coming soon.
