Over the weekend, players had a chance to get acquainted with the latest production from Insomniac Games. However, the creators do not hide the possibility of developing another game and Bryan Intihar mentioned Spider-Man 3 for the first time. The creators apparently have plans to implement the next adventure.
The ending of Spider-Man 2 is very open and the developers have the opportunity to implement several interesting threads. We can be sure that Insomniac Games has plans to make even Spider-Man 3, because the game was mentioned by the director of Spider-Man 2.
We can’t count on a specific announcement at the moment, but Bryan Intihar suggested during the Friends Per Second podcast that he actually already has a plan for Spider-Man 3. The creator compared the games with adventures from the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
If Spider-Man 1 and Miles Morales were like our “Iron Man” and Spider-Man 2 was like “Captain America: Civil War”, where do we logically go? I think that would be pretty epic. But you know, we’ll see.
It’s easy to see an interesting situation here – if “Iron Man” is the real beginning of the MCU, and “Captain America: Civil War” can be considered one of the best productions from the Marvel cinematic universe, then what lies ahead of us is… the equivalent of “Avengers: Endgame”?
As you know, Insomniac Games will now be finalizing work on Wolverine’s adventure, which may reportedly hit the market even in 2024. Currently, however, Insomniac Games and Sony have not started specific promotion of the game.
Even if Spider-Man 3 is to be created, developers will need at least 3-5 years to complete the adventure, so the title could hit the market at the very end of the generation.
