Slay the Princess, an independent horror visual novel, is now available to play on PC. The video game may be played on computers running Windows, macOS, or Linux, and it offers complete support for the Steam Deck. Slay the Princess has an original art style that is hand-drawn and done with pencils, as well as full voice acting throughout the game.
Players are placed in the role of a person who has been given a single job to do, which is to infiltrate a cabin and kill the princess within. If the player is unable to complete this objective, there is a possibility that the planet will be destroyed. The eponymous princess, on the other hand, is making preparations to ensure that she will not pass away.
The princess, whose voice is provided by Nichole Goodnight, is willing to say anything in order to prevent the player from murdering her. The name of the game plays off on the concept that the player would get instructions for their task from an unnamed narrator, as well as the image of a princess who is helplessly chained and is waiting to die.
In addition to the fact that players have a variety of options available to them over the course of Slay the Princess, each of which will have a significant bearing on the narrative of the game, the game places a significant amount of focus on its tale. The game’s creator, Black Tabby Games, claims that there is no one set path that must be followed in order to complete it, and that as a result, every player will experience a unique path through the game’s narrative.
