Recent gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat 1′s first downloadable content character, Invincible’s Omni-Man, was released by NetherRealm Studios and WB Games. However, it appears that the DLC will be lacking something that previous downloadable content additions to Mortal Kombat games have not been lacking.
Fans of Mortal Kombat have pointed out on social media that the recent trailer for Omni-Man did not mention alternate skins in any way. This is significant because, in the past, Mortal Kombat DLC trailers have always ended with details regarding alternate skins that go hand in hand with the incoming character. Fans have pointed out that the recent trailer for Omni-Man did not mention alternate skins in any way.
Even while NetherRealm Studios and WB Games have not specifically said that the next DLC will not come with other skins, many members of the community are drawing that conclusion from the video.
The addition of Omni-Man to Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled for the 16th of November, and he will be accompanied by Kameo fighter Tremor. Coming soon are Quan-Chi and DC’s Peacemaker, followed by Ermac and The Boys’ Homelander in the spring of 2024 and Takeda Takahashi in the summer of 2024. There has been no word on when the DLC Kameo fighters Ferra, Khameleon, or Mavado would be made available to players.
