Fans of the atmospheric world developed by Larian Studios will soon be in for a real treat. The latest discovery indicates that developers may be working on introducing a much more demanding gameplay mode.
Larian Studios releases the most essential updates for Baldur’s Gate 3 and stays in close communication with the community. Even though Xbox players are still waiting for the highly anticipated release, the developers do not appear to be deterred from planning more surprises as they try to bring the game on Microsoft systems.
It seems quite likely that Baldur’s Gate 3 will soon have an Honor Mode level. One of the daredevils shared on Reddit a photo showing obtaining the achievement titled Foehammer, which rewarded completing the main story in “honor mode” – a currently unavailable variant.
This solution will certainly be familiar to players who have played Divinity: Original Sin 2 – thanks to it, we had the opportunity to use only one save game, which was automatically deleted when the team was defeated. So if the developers actually decide to introduce Honor Mode to Baldur’s Gate 3, they can add more color to the game, making it more risky.
Naturally, we will have to wait for formal announcements for the time being. Perhaps there will be more attractions available to the community than just these? Swen Vincke made some remarks previously regarding the problem of making an expansion and the approach the company could take.
