Ark: Survival Ascended, developed by Studio Wildcard and initially released for the PC in early access, is scheduled to be made available on the Xbox Series X/S on November 14th. It will debut with support for play across several platforms as well as new servers, some of which will be Xbox-exclusive.
You’ve undoubtedly already observed that the PlayStation 5 version won’t be available on the same day as the other versions. The developer mentions that it is in the process of arranging a more definite date with Sony, but the current intention is for the release to take place toward the end of November. It is positive about the possibility of sharing a date “very soon.” At launch, the PS5 version will, thankfully, also offer cross-platform play with Steam and Xbox.
In addition, Studio Wildcard disclosed that there will be a new group of official servers for each type of game mode, including PvP, PvE, and Small Tribes, all of which will have their rates increased. Players on consoles will be able to catch up to those playing on personal computers as of the middle of December once the speeds are synchronized. In the following weeks, further information regarding the release of Ark: Survival Ascended on consoles will be provided, so be sure to stay tuned.
